The Heelers @ the Events

Nearly every Nigerian, African, American, British etc ladies in the world love to attend events looking Chicky, Jazzy, Sassy, Elegant and what have you. At every of such social events, except for the noise of the music or chit-chats and other on-going activities, one is bound to hear the "tip-tip or koi-koi" sounds reflecting and announcing the movements or arrival of the ladies and their heels at the events. Ladies love their high heels as these shoes make them all classy and chicky. Although for some ladies it is a big challenge to wear/walk properly in high-heeled shoes whereas for others, it is just a way of life as more ladies now wear  higher heels by the day and of course 'yours sincerely' is a culprit *winks*.

Mrs Vina Johnson-Duru, CEO of Selectibles a clothing outfit in Lekki, Lagos asserts that “there is something about the heels that make ladies thick. You can never have enough of them. It is no surprise to see a lady at events smiling/engaging in conversations whilst are feet are hurting in killer-heels”. She added that “whenever her clients patronise her outfit, their first port of call is always towards the array of high-heeled shoes irrespective of their heights and weights”.

Interestingly, a lot of ladies are unaware of the adverse effects of wearing these killer heels daily and for longer hours which medical experts proclaim could overstress the spinal curves, place a strain on the back as well as the feet and knees. However, because these heels really do portray ladies looking elegantly especially at social events which are never complete without them, it is consequently essential for such ladies to buy more comfortable styles with slight platforms under the toe area in order to reduce weight on the toes as well as the balls of the feet.

At the end of the day, it is imperative for every ‘heeler’ to have a regular foot massage as it would not only help to loosen the muscles, but would also improve the sensitivity of the soles of the feet for enhanced stability.
Conclusively, in order to protect ourselves from the pains and after-effects of these heels; it is advisable to always have a pair of flat shoes as alternatives should the need arise for you to get off those killer heels at that event when you start having the slightest signal of pain. Peace!!!

keep those lovely feet and legs alive/healthy. (let's have your feed backs and comments).
