The young vibrant 'Sly' was a great lover of music as testified by some of his friends who he hung out within the social circle. According to one of them (names withheld) "whenever we were out at a place and an old school song is played, Sly would be asked to provide the artist's names and the year it was released and he always got them right as he was a great lover of music whether from the old school or the present, it was this same love for good music that propelled him to join the radio station and that is why he was able to make a mark within a short time of joining. He will be greatly missed, I really don't know what more to say". He paused for a while and continued "When I got the news and visited the family house, I couldn't bring myself to write in the condolence register as tears welled up in my eyes and I looked up and asked 'so Sly is it really you I'm asked to sign a condolence register for? as if he was standing right there and of course I didn't get a response.... hmmm! Rest in peace man" he concluded.
