POWERLINE BIBLE CHURCH CELEBRATES @ 24

“Envy is desiring to have what another person has, while jealousy is a progression of envy to a higher dimension (uncontrolled appetite for another person’s belonging)’’. Those were the exact words of Bishop Lawrence Osagie of Powerline Bible Church during the celebration of the church’s 24th year anniversary at the main church auditorium (glass house) at Odo Olowu bus stop between Cele and Ijesha on the Apapa-Oshodi expressway, Lagos.  Powerline Bible Church has undeniably come a long way. For the past twenty four years it has been a place of worship for a good number of people from different walks of life and most importantly a home for reaching, raising and restoring people.

The celebration which commenced on the 3rd of February, 2013, was flagged off with a theme titled ‘BREAKING THE POWER OF ENVY & JEALOUSY’ which according to the Bishop is ‘the silent killers that nobody talks about’. In a bid to add to the programmes held in the course of the week in respect of the 24th anniversary, the celebration was rounded up on the 10th of February with the ordination of some members of the church. These members were ordained into the offices of Pastors, Associate Ministers, Deacons and Deaconesses one of whom included a Nollywood movie star in the person of Mr. Zach Orji who was ordained as a Pastor in the presence of his friend Mr Paul Obazele another Nollywood movie star.
